I am praying for good weather like last year when it was an absolutely perfect day for the race on Sunday. Watching Indycars at the Glen brings back fond memories of open wheel racers from Formula 1 and Formula 5000 days. The track is billiard table smooth with its new (last year) pavement and the grounds around the massive facility are very park like compared to the 60's and 70's when it was a rough and tumble sort of venue that included the infamous 'bog'. ( More on that in my book 'Echoes From The Glen'.)
You may have noticed I have not had that many posts since June- that's the summer lull in my schedule with few races or car shows for me to attend on my route between New York and Florida. And the Mrs. has a long list of projects around the home to tend to. I'm getting really good at crown molding and painting by the way. :)
But here's a little photo montage of what I've been up to, including capturing some photos for my annual 'Old Barns' calendar. So enjoy the pics and stay tuned for the debut of the new G Master lens at the Glen.
